オーストラリアに旅行されたことのある方はご存じかもしれませんが、オーストラリアはとても検疫の厳しい国。その中で西オーストラリア州はさらに、養蜂に関する独自の厳しい法律に基づいて検疫を行っており、国外はもちろん、州外からもミツバチ、ミツバチ生産品、養蜂の道具等の流入を厳しく規制しています。
そのため、外部から蜂の伝染病などが持ち込まれることがなく、とても健康な蜂たちが飛び回っているのです。
